The Unit Challenge is brought to you by The Unit Gym Clara, a centre of fitness excellence in the heart of Offaly. Our team combines the experience of top-level gym professionals with the elite skills of former members of the Army Rangers – Ireland’s special forces – to create safe, high-impact programmes for every age and ability.
Each experience is crafted with precision, care, and a deep understanding of what it takes to unlock real potential. From personal challenges to group breakthroughs, you’re in expert hands every step of the way.

The Unit Challenge is open to a broad range of participants across our three core programmes:
Individuals (18+) — Ready to test your limits physically and mentally? The flagship Unit Challenge is built for you. Whether you’re a seasoned athlete or a first-timer looking to push yourself, this is where you discover what you’re made of.
Teams & Clubs — Our Team Builder programme is designed for organisations, clubs, and companies looking to foster leadership, communication, and shared achievement. It’s challenging, rewarding, and unforgettable.
Children and Young People — With the Junior Challenge, young participants experience teamwork, confidence-building, and resilience in a fun, age-appropriate way – all under expert supervision. We also run exciting Summer Camps, with more sessions planned throughout the year.
The Unit Challenge is headquartered in Clara, County Offaly in the heart of Ireland. All the events will begin at The Unit Gym Clara R35 T0V2 each morning and all rounds will take place in Clara and surrounding areas. Transport from the Unit Gym to the events will be provided on the day.
Clara is approximately 100km from Dublin and Galway and 200km from Cork and Belfast.
Yes. Our crack team of photographers are strategically placed around the course to capture your movements over, under, through and around the various obstacles.
We take thousands of photos at each Unit Challenge Event event and post them to our own Facebook page, or those of our sponsors, in the days afterwards.

If you plan on spending a bit of time Offaly before or after the Unit Challenge events there is lots of accommodation and plenty of activities in the surrounding area to keep you and your family / friends busy while you test your strength and resilience with a group of likeminded people!
