Screens, schedules, and school bells – today’s kids are wired in, switched on, and constantly connected. But what if this summer, instead of another week glued to a device, your child could crawl through woodland trails, build a shelter with teammates, navigate with a compass, and learn how to truly thrive outdoors?
Welcome to The Unit Challenge – Junior Summer Camps, where play meets purpose and fun meets function.
Rediscover the Outdoors
Our camps aren’t about just burning off energy – they’re designed to reignite a sense of curiosity and independence in young adventurers. From the moment they step into camp, children aged 8–17 are immersed in nature-based challenges that foster teamwork, problem-solving, and resilience.
Whether it’s crawling under cargo nets, constructing shelters, completing woodland orienteering missions, or moving as a team through rugged terrain – every task is rooted in our belief that kids learn best by doing. And when that doing happens outside? Even better.
Survival Skills = Life Skills
We don’t hand kids a textbook on teamwork – we give them a map, a compass, and a mission. Kids gain practical bushcraft and basic survival skills: how to navigate, how to communicate clearly under pressure, how to stay calm and think critically when things don’t go to plan.
They also experience the thrill of the Camouflage & Concealment Workshop, test their grit in the Minefield Challenge, and wrap up with the proud moment of a graduation ceremony, complete with a badge and pack to mark their achievements.
Connection > Competition
Unlike traditional sports camps, our goal isn’t to win – it’s to work together, grow together, and build confidence. Whether your child is a budding athlete or more of a quiet thinker, every activity is designed to be inclusive, accessible, and empowering.
And yes – every challenge is tailored for their age group. No heavy lifting, no weights, and no pressure. Just bodyweight-based fun, safely delivered by Garda-vetted instructors and ex-military mentors who bring passion, humour, and heart to every session.
Resilience That Lasts
It’s no secret that resilience is one of the most important tools kids can carry with them in life. And what better way to learn it than by stepping outside their comfort zone (literally), surrounded by new friends and fresh air?
So this summer, instead of signing up for yet another indoor activity, give your child the gift of adventure, fresh air, and confidence.
The wild is calling. Let them answer.
