Here at The Unit Challenge, our mission is to be clear, fair, and upfront. This page provides access to the terms that apply when you take part in our summer camps programme. This covers our policies on bookings, payments, participation and more – so you know exactly where you stand.

Summer Camps Terms and Conditions

  1. Eligibility: The Unit Challenge is open to children and young people aged 8 to 17 years at the time the relevant camp takes place.
  2. Camp Schedule and Supervision: Camp sessions run from 10:00am to 2:30pm, Tuesday to Thursday unless otherwise specified.
  • The Unit Challenge will not be responsible for any child left unsupervised outside of scheduled camp hours.
  • Parents/guardians must ensure timely drop-off and collection of participants at The Unit Gym, Clara.
  1. Booking and Payment:
  • Bookings must be made online via the official website.
  • Bookings close at 12 noon on the Friday preceding the start date, subject to availability.
  • Discounts for multiple bookings or siblings must be processed in a single transaction.
  1. Merchandise & Camp Pack:
  • Selected bookings may include The Unit Challenge merchandise such as a t-shirt, cap, badge or survival-style pack depending on the chosen package.
  • Where merchandise is included, delivery is managed by a third-party provider. Late bookings may result in delayed delivery.
  • Items are subject to availability and may be substituted if stock issues arise.
  1. Adverse Weather and Emergency Events:
  • The Unit Challenge reserves the right to alter, postpone or cancel any camp due to adverse weather, safety concerns, or circumstances beyond our control (including but not limited to extreme weather, government restrictions, or health emergencies).
  • Indoor activities may be facilitated where suitable premises are available at no extra cost.
  • In the event of cancellation, reasonable efforts will be made to notify parents and guardians.
  1. Participant Conduct and Dismissal:
  • Participants are expected to follow staff instructions and the Code of Conduct at all times.
  • Misbehaviour or breaches of safety rules may result in suspension or removal from the camp without refund.
  1. Safety, Liability & Insurance:
  • The Unit Challenge operates to the highest safety standards.
  • However, we are not liable for any injuries, loss of property, or damages that may occur during camp.
  • Parents/guardians are advised to arrange personal insurance to cover such events.
  1. Refund & Cancellation Policy:
  • Cancellations received more than 7 days before camp start date are eligible for a full refund (excluding merchandise/delivery costs).
  • Cancellations within 7 days are not eligible for a refund except in verified medical cases.
  • Medical cancellations must be supported by written documentation from a registered medical practitioner and received within 3 days of the notice to be eligible for a full refund.
  1. Data Protection & Privacy:
  • Personal information collected is used solely to administer camp participation, including medical, safety, and communication purposes.
  • We comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Data Protection Act 2018.
  • Data may be used to contact you about future Unit Challenge events if you have opted in.
  • Data is securely stored and retained no longer than necessary.
  1. Photography and Media Consent:
  • Photographs and videos may be taken during camp for promotional purposes.
  • Consent will be requested at the time of registration.
  1. Merchandise Delivery and Exchange:
  • Delivery is managed by a third-party provider.
  • If delivery fails, participants may arrange redelivery or pickup as instructed by the provider.
  • Exchanges (e.g. for incorrect sizes) may be processed within 14 days if the item is returned unused and in its original packaging.
